Panama
3,000,000 inhabitants
Located at the southernmost point of Central America, Panama’s strategic location made it the ideal location for the Panama Canal.
The majority of the population is mestizo, but mixes of Spanish, Indian, and African descent are also common. Spanish is the official and dominant language, but English is a common second language used in business.
Roman Catholicism accounts for almost 80% of the population, but Evangelical Christians are now estimated to account for 10% of the population.
