Campamento Manantial de Vida
Located in: Pinajejo, Honduras
In 1986, First Evangelical Reformed Church of San Pedro Sula (PIER), Honduras, purchased 40 acres of rural land called “La Joya” and developed the property into a retreat center, naming it “Manantial de Vida.”
In 1999, PIER invited Christian Camping International - Latin America to help develop a low-ropes course, archery range, playground, obstacle course, amphitheatre, storage facility and gazebos.
Today, churches from all over Honduras are using Manantial de Vida as a rental facility where they run their own programs and where many go to escape the city and reconnect with God. Manantial de Vida is used almost every weekend of the year by Honduran churches. Development of the site continues, relying heavily on projects adopted by work teams.
