Mario and Jetty De la Vega
Quito, Ecuador
Mario came to know the Lord in Ecuador, after being educated to be a Catholic priest. Jetty came to a personal relationship with Christ while growing up at the Latin America Mission's Bible Home in Costa Rica.
They have four grown children, Joshua, Steve, Jason and Carolina.
Mario and Jetty met as fellow students at the Latin American Biblical Seminary from which they both graduated. Prior to her theological studies, Jetty earned a teaching degree at the University of Costa Rica. Mario studied psychology at the Central University of Ecuador.
In Costa Rica Mario pastured several congregations and ministered through High School Bible clubs, discipleship, training and camping. Jetty led high school Bible clubs and camps. Later they joined the Latin America Mission and continue working with youth and developing their ministry in Ecuador.
They are dedicated to evangelization and they work in the area of church planting and leadership training with distinct churches.
Their focus is in pastoral ministries, counseling and directing family camps. They have planted several churches, with the latest one in Quito. This ministry continues to grow as they focus on children at risk and the development of cell groups on the periphery of the city.
