Mike Palumbo
Shorewood, MN, United States of America
Mike and Tami Palumbo ministered in Latin America, mostly in Mexico City for over 25 years. Their children are Rachel, Luke, Jonathan, Elisa, and Matt. Mike, Jonathan, Matt and Elisa are now residing in the city of Shorewood in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metroplex--southwest quadrant.
Matt and Elisa attend a Christian high school. Rachel is studying Cinema and Media Arts in her second year at Biola University where her dad went to seminary (Talbot Seminary) in California. She enjoys the warmer climate including trips to the beach with new friends and also being near her paternal grandparents, aunt and cousins there. Jonathan is looking for career positions in various fields and considering graduate school having graduated from Wheaton College in 2009. Luke graduated from Wheaton in May 2011 and is working in the Chicago area.
Tami went home to heaven in May of 2008 after dealing with cancer for many years. Mike and Tami felt that God was bringing them back to the U.S. just before Tami's graduation into God's presence.
Mike is presently on loan to Lamplighters International, working on translating and promoting their discipleship materials into Spanish both inside the U.S. and throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Lamplighters International recently began publishing their Galatians and James studies in Spanish, which were translated by Mike. Several Hispanic pastors have begun Bible studies using these translations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Mike is also helping to oversee and multiply over 30 businessmen's Bible study groups in English, presently meeting early mornings in the Twin Cities area. God has also opened the door for him to begin ministry in a major Christian college in St. Paul helping to integrate the English Lamplighters Proverbs study into one of the courses there.
