Patrick Silvis
Mexico City, Mexico
An alumnus of Spearhead ('08), Patrick has a degree in Spanish and has internship experience working with churches and community development projects. Following God's leading, Patrick was a part of the 2010-2011 Spearhead Year-Out team, where he worked with a developing Mexican non-profit agency and helped lead an international team of 30 young adults from 14 different Mexican churches to Honduras during Easter.
Patrick feels God is leading him to stay in Mexico for another year to serve with the Spearhead program. As part of the 2011-2012 Year-Out team, he will work with a church ministry, Cambio de Rumbo (Change of Direction/Course) that helps people coming out of sexually broken backgrounds. Patrick also will help lead another mission trip to Honduras with even more Mexican young adults, and may even help expand the missions vision in Mexico by taking a trip with several Mexican pastors. No matter what country he's in, Patrick wants to share Christ's love and freeing power with the Church and with those who desperately need to experience the hope of the Gospel.
