Paul and Ulrike Jesperson

Heredia, Costa Rica

The Jesperson's serve with LAM Canada.

God has put a desire in Paul and Ulli's hearts to serve him through work with street children and youth in Latin America. Their initial placement will be with the Roblealto Child Care Association of Costa Rica for four years. Their first task will be to develop and implement ESL programs for the various departments of the organization as a whole, and they will have the day to day task of teaching in the Enrique Strachan School. Both teachers, Ulli's M.Ed in Teaching English as a Second Language and experience in teaching adult ESL, together with Paul's B.Ed. and six years of experience in teaching, including his most recent position of teaching high school English and Social Studies at a First Nations school, affords them the preparation they need for their work with Roblealto.

Paul and Ulli first met at the Bodenseehof Torchbearer Bible School in Germany in 1995 and married some nine years later, settling in Edmonton, Alberta. They have two children, Benjamin and Thomas.
