Bob and Ann have been working in Costa Rica for over 35 years and with LAM for 40 years. Their work has included graphic design with INDEF, Editorial Caribe, CLAME, Alfalit and CEDCAS where they are working now. Part of their work included the production of a hymnal which gave priority to Latin authors and composers along with hymns that have endured for decades or centuries. They have also started a church in their house with the help of a Seminary student. From this church grew two daughter churches, one of which is in Los Guidos, a slum area near them where they now participate regularly.
Their work with CEDCAS is in the area of graphics, helping in clinics in the Los Guido church, helping with work teams who come down each year to help with various projects, usually construction but also sewing classes and a brief DVBS program. Each January we have a DVBS program for one week in the Los Guidos church.
Recently they have been helping in a children's program in another slum, Guararí near the CEDCAS clinic. The Clinic also helps feed children in Guararí and provides clinics for them from time to time. It also gives special prices to people from there to make medical help available to them.
