Rodrigo and Emilia Chavarria
San José, Costa Rica
Rodrigo, a Costa Rican, was born and raised in Costa Rica. He came to experience the saving grace of Jesus Christ through a LAM-related ministry. He immediately began to share his faith with whomever was nearby. Early on in his Christian life he was placed in a position of leadership in the Templo Bíblico, one of the largest evangelical churches in Costa Rica at that time. Later he became the Administrator of the Association of Costa Rican Bible Churches where he served more than a 100 churches throughout the country. While Rodrigo was Administrator of the Bible Churches Association, the Lord opened the doors in the U.S. for him to be trained for ministry. He earned his BA from Columbia Bible College and Seminary (South Carolina) and later at Wheaton College Graduate School (Illinois), where he earned his MA. Rodrigo is an ordained pastor who during his time in the USA was involved in a variety of ministries. In 1987 he was a Counselor in the South Carolina Billy Graham Crusade; he preached the Gospel to Hispanics in the US; and together with his wife started a Hispanic Church as part of their involvement with their church in Wheaton.
Emilia was also born and raised in Costa Rica as well. She is a devoted Christian, supportive of her husband, committed to the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to her family.
Rodrigo and Emilia joined the LAM in 1990.
In their home, Rodrigo and Emilia hold Bible studies by which they minister to Christians and non-Christians seeking answers from the Word of God.
