Suzanne Emery

San José, Costa Rica

Suzanne Emery has two wonderful sons, Nain and Edwin. They have lived in Costa Rica serving the Lord with LAM for more than 15 years. Suzanne works with the Roblealto Child Care Association as the Supervisor of Health, as well as providing pastoral care for some of the children with the greatest needs. She is passionate about educating others about fetal alcohol and neurobehavioral conditions. In a nation with an abnormally high alcoholism rate, Suzanne works to raise awareness about the risks alcohol poses to unborn/nursing children, and she works to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment for children who have been affected by alcohol. Suzanne's oldest son, Nain, loves sports and his friends. He is a wonderful student and has a passionate heart. Her youngest son, Edwin, is being home schooled and is very creative. He loves theater, music and making people laugh. "We are so grateful to the Lord for calling us to serve him in Costa Rica," Suzanne says.
