Tom and Jennifer Atwater

Tom and Jennifer are thrilled to be working with the Colombian church in loving children and families at high risk in one of Medellin's poorest barrios. As Directors of Fundacion Viento Fresco, which was started in 2003 by Comunidad Cristiana de Fe, they have the priviledge of serving Christ by providing nutritious meals, access to free medical care, education, social services, career guidance (alternatives to unhealthy career choices), and most importantly spiritual nourishment to up to 160 children daily at the Center, which provides care from 8am to 4:30pm. Having arrived in July 2011, their children (Alex - 7, Abby - 6, Gabe - 4) are thriving in an atmosphere of warmth and love, and are learning Spanish quickly. They are grateful for the warmth, love and generosity of friends from all nations, and the love God's people have for His children.
