Eligibility
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- An affiliation with a local evangelical church.
- A desire to serve Christ in another culture.
- At least 19 years of age.*
*Spearhead participants are generally ages 19 - 30.
Am I Ready?
Here are the qualities we’re looking for in participants:
- Conversion Have you had a definite experience of salvation through Christ?
- Consecration Do you recognize Christ’s lordship in every area of your life? This is our Personal Conduct Pledge for short-term participants.
- Call Do you feel personal responsibility for making Christ known in Latin America?
- Service Are you willing to humbly identify with the cultures and peoples of Latin America? Do you have a servant attitude?
- Doctrine Can you give a wholehearted acceptance of the basic doctrines of the Christian faith as expressed in the LAM statement of faith.
- Character Who do your friends and family say you are? Do your church, friends and colleagues consider you a person of integrity and good character?
- Adaptability Do you have a flexible attitude? Are you willing to serve even in humble circumstances or situations.
- Active commitment to the church Are you actively participating in a local church or Christian faith community?
- Servanthood Are you willing to be a servant leader? Having a servant’s heart is essential to successfully integrating into Latin America.
