You’re curious ― or serious ― about mission service in Latin America. What now?

LAM has opportunities for both short- and long-term missions service in more than 15 countries. Here are a few things to know about LAM:

  • We address the whole person. We evaluate the physical, psychological, emotional, mental, social, familial and spiritual aspects of candidates.
  • We affirm the essential role of the local church in supporting missionaries and fueling missions. LAM is not the “sending body” for missionaries. As an agency, we facilitate connections and offer logistical support. The local church is the Biblical sending body for mission work.
  • We prioritize partnership with the local sending church throughout the mobilization process.
  • We evaluate the needs and concerns of each family member, prioritizing the health of marriages and families. We also treat both husband and wife as missionaries, regardless of if they are both assigned to a formal ministry or if one is ministering in the home.
  • We recognize the unique needs and concerns of singles in the process and provide appropriate support.
  • We promote self-knowledge and understanding for healthy self-assessment among our candidates, involving them in all decision-making processes that affect their lives.

Take some time clicking around to familiarize yourself with our mobilization process. As you embark on this life-changing journey, we’re here with you at every step.  Get the details on LAM's short-term and long-term process.
